Fitted a full canvas top from Comptons. Gives really nice look to the truck. Keeps the dogs in and the weather out.

Copy of things further I'd like to do:

Sort the wheels and tyres out. It's still on silver disco steel rims and they don't look right. These need painting if not replaced totally. I would like to get hold of standard later defender steels that take a tubeless tyre. The two sets of standard rims I had here (series and defender) needed tubes fitted and thus a pain the butt so they got weighed in for scrap.

Need to get another windscreen wiper motor pod for the passenger side.

I might refit the heater for winter :-X

I want to fit a 200tdi radiator as I am not sure the series rad is up to the job as temp does rise way up. Built in oil cooler would be a bonus.

Leccy cooling fan needs changing out for the more modern one that I have in the shed.

Need to fit decent rear view mirrors to the doors as I can't see a thing with the wing top ones.

Few cosmetic things need sorting on the body - wing vent needs blanking, wing top tread plate need removing, some other bits n bobs.

Forgot to post that the S1 has has some changes...

Out with the Petrol 2.25..

In with a 19J 2.5 Turbo Diesel..

Kept the Series Radiator. Fitted a 13 row oil cooler. Fitted kenlow fan. Fitted an Oil Catch Tank. Converted to diesel. Modified one chassis engine mount bracket.

Also swapped out the S2 gearbox for a S3 full synchro box so no more double clutching.
