3 fold increase in webserver bandwidth

Do not often study this webservers logs but have been having a tidy out as there are usage logs dating back a few years *opps*.

Interesting to find that the bandwidth usage although steadily rising since the birth of stonefisk.com had suddenly increased 3 fold or more since June 2009. I put this down to changing the blog settings to allow 40 posts to be displayed on the home page instead of the much lesser default - so every visit would be loading the last 40 posts every time. Although the increase is not a issue (it's current trend is about 2gig per month) I have now set the blog to display only the last 5 posts on the home page and will see how this effects that bandwidth figure.

The majority of visits that originate from web searches are looking for Berlinetta kitcar, ricks steins lamb curry recipe and parcelforce handling of UPS parcels.
