Been awhile since the last visit to the GB3JB repeater site to help out with the installation of the GB3WX 6/10m antennas. Break in the weather allowed for the installation of a winch mechanism and redesigned J-poles as the previous published design measurements turned out to be bogus.

Well not so much as a "bivvy" exactly as the weather forecast was bleak and having the dogs with me it was best to take a cheapy 3 man tent from Tescos to shelter us. The tent faired well, kept us and the kit dry and was pleasant change. The "cheapness" aspect doesn't fail in regard with is fit for purpose as it did the job of a tent. I think it is more to do with the tents longevity, it will not last too many trips before seams tear, zips fail, poles bend and so forth.

Food wise, thought I'd try current issue 24hour Ration Packs. Have to say it was surprisingly satisfying and would certainly use again.
