New Amateur Full Radio Licence
You probably only hit this post because you recently taken/passed your ham exam and are frustrated waiting for the result to ping on to the ofcom webby so are searching for the keywords in the above blurb. For the full/advanced the process takes FOREVER and the oh how the waiting sucks :D
Goodluck, leave a comment.
UPDATE: The exam results letter came through the door today - PASS. For reference it been 22 days since sitting the exam. Few hours after receiving the letter the OFCOM website allowed the license application to proceed to choosing a M0 callsign.
GB3WX in progress
Lent another pair of hands to the WesseX Repeater Group guys up at the GB3JB repeater site. Happy to donate some time to that project as I am likely to use the repeater, plus its all good experience for radio freshmeat as myself.
The order of the day was the construction of the 6m/10m j-pole antenna that will used for the GB3WX cross repeater. This aerial is also topped mounted 2metre antenna which is the twig of the GB3JB box. In all a real beast of an antenna length. Tomorrow will hopefully see its erection.
