New rifle - first kill
Dog gets to eat fresh rabbit tomorrow!
Got me a new springer rifle, an Air Arms TX200 Hunter Carbine with silencer and calibrated 6x40 MAP (Multiple Aim Point) mil-dot Hawke scope.
After a few hundred practice shots on paper, put a pellet clean thru a bunnie head at 20 yards sitting position (well within rifles capable hunting range). Clean, quick kill. Small bunnie but enough for a dogs dinner.

Bivvy out
Bivvy'd out Friday night this bank holiday weekend with my m8 Roy from Newcastle who happens to be a cracking chef - so we ate like kings next to an oak fire. Survival and bushcraft out - luxuries galore in - disposable BBQ's, gas stoves and decent food and drink :-) even had good weather too.
First time using my full sized current issue Basha tarp, big improvement space wise over the ancient poncho I had been using for sure. Would prefer olive drab but there you go, DPM camouflage whore I am becoming.
Had plenty of practice shooting paper targets with rifle, zero'd in the new scope and was getting good groups at 30 and 45 yards.
