Another Chips day.
My 1 GIG of DRAM arrives today, with a 400Mhz Bus to match the cpu. Currently on 512Mb insalled at 333Bus.
Also, Delta dog has finally enough meat on his bones to get a I.D chip implanted, so he if off to the vets today.

Happy New CPU day (again)
Only after a few weeks its out with the XP2200+ cpu and in with a XP3200+ 512KB cache, 400mHz bus, pumping at 2.3Ghz.
That will do me hopefully for awhile.

Marlin Berlinetta headlamps
In the beginning there was the 7inch halogen 20R type headlamps made by WIPAC. But 10 years of UK weather caused the reflectors to steady corrode to totally brown out. No replacement halogens in the spare box, but an abundance of the sealed lamps from Austin Mini and Morris Minors. Nice fit, but being sealed they just have not got that halogen performance, more yellow than white. But I have lived with the dull sealed lamps for about 12 months, but that was backed up with the daylight of the cibie spot lamps.
Now with the recent removal of the corroded cibie lamps and the wing side lamps being swapped out for amber indicator bulbs... it was time to consider a new headlamp. This time I wanted a halogen 20R headlamp which also includes a side lamp fitting. The price of these new can be up to £80 each ! Total rip-off. Finally found a supplier on eBay that provided two brand new lamps with side lamps fittings for only £24.00 the pair. They arrived today, a non-branded and made in India of all places, but pretty good quality nonetheless. The lens is bonded to a glass reflector whereas the WIPAC's had steel reflectors fabricated to the lens, just asking for rust. These eBay ones are designed as a direct replacement for Austin Mini sealed beam headlamps.
They even came with a halogen lamp/bulb, but I haven't decided if I am going to fit standard bulbs or go for something special.
Anyway... I have a re-wire job to do in the cold. Need to route the side lamp wring into the headlamp pods.
