10/18/2004: "Marlin Berlinetta as a Wardriving Mobile"
Just got back from bagging another couple of local geocaches that makes 74 so far, I am in a race to 100 with another local cacher.
This is the inside of my caching-mobile with laptop, GPS and WI-FI card. This car also doubles up as a nifty wardriving-mobile with the same technology onboard. Best thing is that the roof is fibreglass so the WI-FI doesn't lose signals due to a metal roof.
Have not been out wardriving for awhile, but recently had the opportunity to reflex some basic W.D skills AND bag a geocache at the same time. The Wiltshire Wombles cachers set up geocache which uses a 802.11b wi-fi SSID to relay the co-ords of a physical cache. We believe this is the first geocache to use wi-fi in this way. Pretty cool stuff. I was the first to find and log this cache
